For our latest edition of Palladium Insiders, we headed to Hamburg to step inside Blur Atelier, a unique tattoo studio founded by the creative duo Jona and Maxim.
A far cry from the clichés, Blur Atelier is a bright, minimalist, and deeply human space, designed as an artistic sanctuary in the heart of the city. We spent a day following them, laced up in our iconics to see how they perfectly balance style, comfort, and the freedom to create.
A day at Blur Atelier is always full of rhythm. Mornings kick off at a frantic pace: welcoming the first clients, lively discussions to fine-tune a project, last-minute adjustments... In this initial phase of the day where they are constantly on their feet, Jona and Maxim need a solid foundation. That’s where our iconic Pampa steps in, providing the necessary comfort and style to move from one project to the next without ever slowing down.
Then, the atmosphere shifts. A quiet, almost meditative calm takes over. It’s time to get a tattoo. This high-precision work demands absolute focus and long hours spent in demanding positions. In these moments, comfort is not negotiable. The Pampa leaves its original playground behind to become a true studio tool, a reliable support for their daily creative journey.
What strikes you instantly at Blur Atelier is their sharp sense of style. Their visual world plays on clean lines and modern cuts. For Jona and Maxim, clothing must be functional and ready for daily life, without ever sacrificing their aesthetic.

What are Palladium's iconic models?
Palladium’s most iconic model is undoubtedly the Pampa Hi, launched in 1947. Originally designed to equip soldiers of the French Foreign Legion, this sturdy and versatile boot quickly became an urban staple and a symbol of exploration. Even today, it remains the brand’s most recognizable silhouette.
